In recent years, with the large-scale construction of infrastructure in my country, the level of railways and highways has been greatly improved, the road network has become more and more dense, and a large number of tunnels to be built near the operation of high-speed railways have appeared. How should these tunnels be dug? For the safety of high-speed rail operations, such tunnels are generally excavated mechanically. However, for some medium and short rock tunnels with high strength and high hardness, the technical economy of the traditional mechanical excavation method is very low.
Facing such a predicament, Yichen began to explore a new technical and economical way of tunnel excavation. Through field test comparison and selection, we finally found such a combination - rock saw + hydraulic breaker. The specific method is to install the rock saw on the excavator to cut the rock body longitudinally, and then use the hydraulic breaker to break the rock.
Take the Ninghai Wuyanshan Tunnel excavated in 2017 as an example. The surrounding rock of the tunnel is medium-weathered granite, and it is a medium- and short-distance tunnel. The combination of rock saw and breaker is used for excavation, and the average excavation efficiency of each face is 0.28m/d. This data seems to be relatively low compared to ordinary tunnels, but it is still the most efficient and technically economical excavation method in the field test. Therefore, this new tunnel excavation method can be tried and applied in the excavation of medium and short-range hard rock tunnels adjacent to high-speed railways.
This method is also used in the excavation of a tunnel in Chongqing in 2021. Yichen YS-20SS rock saw is installed on Liugong 920 excavator, and it is cut vertically on the face of the face every 5 cm, and then broken with a breaker. The tunneling efficiency is as high as 4-5m/d, and the effect is very significant. The construction team appreciates it. I can't stop talking!
